The Connecticut Marine Trades Association, Inc. is proud to be the managing organization of Connecticut’s Clean Marina Program.

Developed over a decade ago by the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection with significant input from the marina community, engineers and other industry consultants, the program is a means for marinas and boatyards to voluntarily meet environmental compliance and follow best management practices. In so achieving, the facility may be recognized to the boating community as a Clean Marina upon awarding of their flag and certificate.

The Clean Marina Guidebook has been updated by the CMTA Environment Committee and Staff and has been reviewed and approved by DEEP. CMTA and DEEP have each signed a Memorandum of Understanding officially transferring the program to CMTA’s oversight.

We are very excited to reintroduce this program highlighting our commitment to maintain a clean and healthy environment so our customers and community as a whole may enjoy our precious waterways.
